O’Connor has lectured in universities, cultural institutions, libraries and private study groups on various aspects of the contextual development of Irish art and European modernism in the twentieth century. She was a lecturer and thesis supervisor on the MPhil Programme on Irish Art, TRIARC-Irish Art Research Centre, TCD (2008-11) and has lectured and supervised BA graduate thesis work with the School of Art History and Cultural Policy, UCD. (Irish, European and North American art 19th and 20th century) (2005-08). O’Connor has also given courses on Irish art for community study groups.
